Need a Meeting Place?
The Library offers free meeting rooms to community groups hosting free programs or meetings which are open to the public. The large Ruth H. Spillette Meeting Room on the lower level is perfect for gatherings. It comfortably seats up to 100 people in a lecture atmosphere, or if you prefer, your audience can sit at up to ten tables. There is no need to bring your own equipment, as the Library provides a podium with speaker, a TV with DVD unit, a laptop, an overhead projector, a projection unit, and a large screen. There is also a kitchen with a cook top, refrigerator, and large coffeepot (use of the kitchen costs $10.00 plus you provide set-up).
For smaller groups, the Children’s Activity Room on the second floor seats up to 15 people. There is a small TV and DVD player available.
For a complete list of the guidelines for meeting room use, or for an application, stop by the Library’s Customer Services Desk or click here to submit your meeting room request.
